Phone sales for Mom are the norm, but a free laptop and free airline tickets certainly are not the normal giveaways for Mom. Two days before Mother's Day, CCT announced live on ZROD FM the two lucky winners of its prepaid destination and freedom promotion for the month of April.
Surprisingly, both winners were females and also Moms. The occasion and timing was just right for these two moms to receive early Mother's Day gifts from CCT.
CCT's prepaid pay and win contest for the month of April, allowed each customer that purchased recharges of ten ($10) dollars or more a chance to win free airline tickets for two (2) to any Caribbean destination of their choice from CCT. Each qualifying entry was equal to a recharge of ten ($10) dollars, but excluded recharge effect on double top up days. Hence, a customer recharging by twenty ($20) dollars, qualified to receive 2 entries into the drawing.
Rosina Mitchell was the lucky winner of tickets for two to any Caribbean destination of her choice. Mrs. Mitchell told Mrs. Thomas of CCT that she almost didn't answer the phone as she was sitting reading a newspaper and didn't hear her phone ringing, but luckily her husband heard her phone ringing and brought it to her. She then answered the phone in a nick of time as Ms. Thomas told her that she was just about to hang up and pick another number just before she answered. The startled Rosina was lost for words live on the air when she heard the good news that she couldn't think of a destination that she wanted to travel too nor did she know who she wanted to travel with at the time of the announcement. A few days later, Mrs. Mitchell was able to confirm her travel mate would be her daughter to the island of St. Maarten.
Based on the success of this contest, CCT has began to run the same promotion for a second time for prepaid recharges from May 8th - June 15th 2009; but this time, the winner has the option to select their travel to a Caribbean destination or a US destination of their choice.
Jenadine Simmonds was the winner of CCT's sign and win contest for the month of April. On April 9 2009 Ms. Simmonds signed onto CCT's Freedom contract and won herself a brand new Lenovo Laptop from CCT.
Other highlights from CCT's Mother's Day events included a Super Mom Fashion show despite the inclement weather experienced throughout the week, featured fearless super moms such as the Hon. Irene Penn O'Neal, Mrs. Sonia Stoutt, and many more (see pictures) which complimentary wine was served by our friends at Road Town Wholesale for everyone to enjoy.
