What is prepaid?
Pre paid is a pay as you use service. Prepaid gives you the freedom to top up calling credit on your phone when you need it.
What is postpaid?
Postpaid plans are billed plans where you enter into a contract period with CCT and are invoiced for your usage each month.
What is WAP?
(Wireless Application Protocol) Is a protocol that enables mobile phone users to look at specially converted web pages, allowing to surf the Internet from your mobile phone.
What is GPRS?
GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) allows a data transmission channel suitable for internet access and other data services on a GSM network.
What is SMS?
Short Message Service (SMS) is a communications protocol allowing the interchange of short text messages between mobile telephone devices
What is MMS?
Multimedia Messaging Service, A messaging systems that allows for sending messages that includes multimedia objects such as images, audio, video, rich text. Also know as picture messaging.
What is Wimax?
Worldwide Inter-operability for Microwave Access, is a broadband telecommunications technology that provides wireless transmission of data using a variety of transmission modes. In short a form of high-speed wireless Internet.
What is a rate plan?
A rate plan is a bundled allowance amount of voice minutes, text messaging and data that that is billed and renews on a monthly basis. Rate plans build the foundation for postpaid contracts. Customers choose a rate plan that suits their specific needs.
What is an upgrade?
An upgrade is a change of rate plan and/or a new phone. Postpaid customers who fulfill a contract period are usually eligible for some type of upgrade.
What is top up?
Top up or topping up is when a pre paid customer purchase additional credit on his/her phone.
What is double top up?
Double top up is an exclusive CCT promotion where our customers get double amount of credit when they top up.
What is a SIM card?
(Subscriber Identity Module) SIM card identifies a mobile customer and his provider. The card must be inserted into the user's mobile phone before it can be used
What is a memory card?
A mobile phones expansion memory module, meaning the user can save more pictures, ring tones, and numbers to a phone.
What is Bluetooth?
(Short-range radio technology) meaning you can send data like pictures and ring tones wirelessly between phone handsets. You can also connect a Bluetooth headset meaning you can chat hands free, without holding your phone.
What is Push email?
Email that is delivered directly to the phone, automatically, as they arrive in the person’s inbox.
What is network coverage?
Network coverage is the area in which you can use your CCT service
Where is my network coverage area?
With CCT your network coverage is throughout the British Virgin Islands
What is Roaming?
(International) Roaming enables the clients of one network operator to use the services of another operator when travelling abroad, where both networks have a commercial agreement in place to permit this. CCT has more than 200 roaming partners worldwide so you can stay connected.
